Overview

JX-400 thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) waterproof membrane is a sheet-shaped, rollable polymer waterproof material made with TPO resin as the base material, which combines the weather resistance and heat resistance of ethylene propylene (EP) rubber with the weldability of polypropylene. It combines the properties of rubber and plastic and is made using advanced processing technology.


Type P (reinforced)Thermoplastic polyolefin waterproofing membrane reinforced with polyester or glass fiber mesh cloth in the middle of the membrane, suitable for mechanically fixed single-layer roofing waterproofing system.


Type L (backing type) A thermoplastic polyolefin waterproof membrane with fabrics such as polyester non-woven fabrics laminated to the lower surface of the membrane, suitable for full-adhesion waterproofing systems on concrete bases.


Type H (homogeneous type) Thermoplastic polyolefin waterproof membrane that does not use internal reinforcement materials or backing composite materials, mostly used as flashing materials.


Features

1. Advanced polymerization technology is used to combine EPDM and PP together, combining the excellent weather resistance of EPDM and the weldability of PP.

2. The special formula technology does not require the addition of any plasticizers that can easily make the material brittle. It does not produce the phenomenon that general heat-welded coils (such as PVC) become brittle due to plasticizer migration, and maintains long-term waterproof function.

3. Excellent high and low temperature resistance, like rubber materials, it remains flexible at -50°C and maintains mechanical strength at higher temperatures.

4. Chemical resistance, resistance to acid, alkali, salt, animal oil, vegetable oil, lubricating oil corrosion, resistance to algae, mold and other microbial growth.

5. With excellent root penetration resistance, it can be used as root penetration resistant membrane for green roofs.

6. Resistant to heat aging and good dimensional stability.

7. The light-colored surface, mainly white, has a smooth surface, high reflectivity, is energy-saving and resistant to pollution.

8. The ingredients do not contain plasticizers and chlorinated polymers, and no harmful gases are generated or released during welding and use, which is harmless to the environment and human health.

9. The lap seams are constructed by heat welding to form a high-strength, reliable sealed waterproof layer.

Mainly used for metal roofs, roofs with planting requirements and basement roofs etc


Notes

1 The welding seams must be clean and free of dust, dirt, etc. If necessary, solvent scrubbing is required, otherwise it will affect the bonding.

2 The adhesive should be applied evenly without any exposed bottom or accumulation.

3. Construction is strictly prohibited on rainy or snowy days, and construction is not allowed when wind speed is level 5 or above.

4. Construction parameter selectionwelding temperature and speed matching.

5. Node processing - pipe root, rain outlet, and corners.


Storage & Transportation

The coils are packed with hard core curlers and wrapped with plastic bags or woven bags.

1 During storage and transportation, products of different types and specifications should be stacked separately to avoid sun and rain, and pay attention to ventilation. The storage temperature should not be higher than 45°C. The stacking height of flat storage should not exceed five layers. It is prohibited to contact with acids, alkalis, oils and organic solvents.

2 Prevent tilting or horizontal pressure during transportation, and cover with felt cloth if necessary.

3 Under normal storage conditions, the storage period is one year from the date of production.
