The Workers' Stadium


The Workers' Stadium is located on the North Road of the Workers' Stadium in Sanlitun, Chaoyang District, Beijing. It was built to host the 26th World Table Tennis Championships and is also the first stadium to appear on stamps in New China. The stadium has a construction area of 40,200 square meters and can accommodate 15,000 spectators. It is an important part of the three building complexes of the Workers' Stadium and served as the venue for the boxing competition of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the judo competition of the Paralympic Games.
